Mindful Parenting
Dear Moms & Dads,
You're doing a great job, really! Parenting isn't easy.
There is so much to consider, so many needs to be met, so much to do ALL. THE. TIME.
That you just need to be reminded that you're doing great and to take a break!
A parent's heart never stops beating for their child— no matter if your kid is 2 or 22, we are always on—
thinking of them, worrying about them, hoping for them, always— for them.
So, how do we mindfully go about parenting?
First start with listening to and noticing how you're doing.
When and where do you feel anxious? What bubbles up for you when you're with your kids? Are you aware of what you need? Do you know that it is ok to integrate self-care every day? In fact, it is almost imperative to keep self-care in your routine if you want a sustainable home.
The patience you give your child (ren), give it to yourself as well. Keep your friends and loved ones near so that you don't drown in the giving and doing; let others keep you afloat. Mindful parenting means that you are a present parent, so nurture yourself when you can so that you can be the nurturer you desire to be.
What does self care or mindful parenting look like for you?
